Dan Carter, mayor of Oshawa, says the ongoing opioid crisis is a “national health epidemic.” The death rate has risen during the COVID lockdowns and the City is fighting to lower this. There is an ongoing Micro Homes Pilot project that will house recovering additcs and the homeless.
