“GM has said they’re going to build all electric vehicles by 2035. Where does the Oshawa plant fit in that? To what extent does us positioning the region as a place for low carbon investment help to bring that those sorts of jobs here?” says McVey on the economic imperative of Durham Region reaching low carbon goals.
