As the weather cools down, the hunt for the perfect hoodie begins. We all crave that oversized, warm, and comfortable hoodie that feels like a constant hug but sometimes for those who are taller, finding the right fit can be a frustrating journey.
Scrolling through TikTok shows lots of options such as a brand called Comfrt, which instantly caught my attention. Initially, I was watching an interview where the guest, who struggled with finding the right fit due to being tall, spoke about her Comfrt hoodie.
Intrigued, I decided to check it out.
Their hoodies, along with other cozy wear, are designed to fit all body types, and their website shows each item on people of various heights. A really helpful feature, as an online shopper, seeing a product on someone with a similar body shape gives a better idea of what to expect.
However, things didn’t go entirely smoothly.
First off, most of their stock was out, forcing people to pre-order and wait for a month. This could be a dealbreaker for many customers, especially those who want their products quickly. Waiting weeks can be frustrating, particularly when other brands offer similar items with faster shipping and more reliable availability. It feels like Comfrt may not be keeping up with demand, which could affect them in the long run if potential customers decide to shop elsewhere or lose interest.
Additionally, their prices are on the higher side for a hoodie, and when I saw the delivery fees to Canada, I nearly exited the page. The shipping costs, combined with taxes, can add a significant amount to the overall price, making the purchase feel less worthwhile. I was drawn back in by their 60 per cent off sale, which made it easier to justify the purchase. Despite the recommended extra charge of $1-2 for order protection, which felt unnecessary after the shipping and taxes, I finally placed my order.
The delivery was fast, arriving in three days, and the hoodie came well packaged, complete with a letter from the brand.
The real surprise came from Comfrt’s claim that their clothes help with mental health, describing their hoodies as “a hug” during tough times. While that sounds more like marketing hype to me, after all, can a hoodie really cure stress? I can’t deny that their hoodie is soft and cozy, offering a small sense of comfort on those stressful days.
Would I recommend Comfrt?
If you’re tall like me and tired of ill-fitting hoodies then yes, especially if you catch a sale. It fits well, comes in a variety of colours, and offers that oversized, cozy feeling we all crave. However, without a sale, it’s definitely an investment. If I had two of their hoodies, I’d probably be set for a while, considering the quality and fit.
The only real downside is the price, and the high delivery fees, especially if you’re ordering from outside the U.S. For many, these extra costs might be a dealbreaker. Just be prepared to pay a bit extra, and while you shouldn’t expect a hoodie to solve your life problems, it might make them feel a little warmer on tough days.
