The Chronicle’s second-year Journalism – Mass Media and Journalism and Creative Writing students wrote profiles of Oshawa’s wards to help voters understand their neighbourhoods and know the people running to represent them.
Students were asked to reach out to all candidates for email interviews. While many responded, others did not and that is noted in their bios.
Students also wrote a profile of the ward to understand its demographics, housing and income levels, as well as a section discussing issues in which they were asked to speak with at least two community members.
