He enjoyed guiding them through the challenges of studying in Canada and found purpose in supporting their journeys.

This passion led him to Durham College, where he achieved his goal of becoming an international student advisor, helping students adjust to life in a new country.

With time running out, Savone worked hard to find a quick solution. “We had to get them the right permit in just a few weeks,” he recalls. Despite the pressure, the student completed their co-op successfully and graduated.

“Seeing them at graduation, knowing what they overcame, was incredibly rewarding,” Savone shares, beaming with pride.
