Police investigating incident at Maxwell Heights school in Oshawa

Durham Regional Police are investigating after a dispute among students at Maxwell Heights Secondary School in Oshawa this morning.

A hold and secure was implemented at Maxwell Heights, located at 1100 Coldstream Dr., near the intersection of Harmony and Taunton roads, around 10 a.m. The procedure was implemented after a dispute between a group of students, according to Durham Regional Police.

The school was put into the hold and secure for about 10 minutes, police said.

Durham Regional Police spokesman Dave Selby said no serious injuries were sustained by any of the students involved in the dispute. Selby also stated no charges have been laid, adding it is an active investigation.
