Cookies to support First generation students

Gingerbread cookies made to support First Nations people.

First generation students can face barriers as the first in their family to attend post-secondary.

In November, Durham College held a cookie event to show support for them.

Along with cookies, there were pins with the words “I’m the first” printed on them, as well as information on how the college helps first-generation students.
