Trujillo says goodbye to winter and hello to spring

Trujillo, Peru is getting ready for spring!  Trujillo is referred to as “the city of eternal spring”.

They are hosting their 64th International Spring Festival. With winter leaving and spring on its way, the festival is a community celebration.

Residents decorate their homes for the event. Tourists and domestic visitors join in the fun and explore nearby historical sites. This annual event allows the entire city and tourists from all over the planet to come together and have a good time.

There are various activities to attend at the festival. There are art contests and crowning of the ‘Queen of Spring’. Marinera dancers and artisans take over the streets of Trujillo. The festival wraps up with a grand parade, which is as colourful and lively and beautiful as an ideal spring.
