The Oshawa Santa Claus Parade of Lights might be over, but there are many more events coming up in the surrounding towns you can go to.
Brooklin’s Grass Park in Whitby is hosting Christmas in the Village on Nov. 28. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is free and all ages are welcome to attend. Grass Park is located at 41 Baldwin St.
Pickering and Ajax both have Santa Claus parades on Nov. 29. The Pickering parade goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and starts are 1911 Dixie Road. The Ajax parade goes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and starts at 65 Harwood Ave. S. The Ajax parade is followed by the tree lighting ceremony at Town Hall. Both parades are free to attend.
The Whitby Santa Claus Parade is happening Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The parade starts at local restaurant Starr Burger at 900 Brock St. N. The route follows Brock St. from Manning Rd. to Trent St.
On the evening of Dec. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Port Perry is having its Santa Claus Parade. The event starts at the Port Perry Fairgrounds at 15835 Old Simcoe Rd. in Scugog and ends at Water St. The theme of this parade is “Christmas: Past, Present and Future.”
