Why don’t more people vote?

It’s been a busy year for politics in Durham Region. With the provincial election in the rear view mirror, voters will now elect officials in their towns and cities.
Citizens get the opportunity once every four years to elect the people that have the most effect on their day to day lives.
Yet only a small percentage of people actually show up to vote.
